Barb (Wakeling) Meyerholz
Dear Classmates,

Well here I am in Sunny Arizona. I moved here 5 years ago. Just couldn't take another winter. My mom and brother still live in Bethel in the same house.
My dad passed away 21 years ago. Too young. My sister, Sue, lives in South Carolina with her husband Kurt. They have about 100 acres and many animals. I think at last count it is, 5 horses, 4 or
5 dogs, and a cat. I'm trying to talk her into getting
alpacas. They are so beautiful.

I have 2 sons, Jim 27 and Steven 25. Jim lives in Seattle,
WA and works for Boeing. My brain child. He's an
Aerospace Engineer. Doing well for himself.
Steven lives here in Arizona. He's given me many problems
but hopefully he's now seen the light and will be okay.
He's a very talented tattoo artist. He's covered with them,
most he did himself. Ouch. We take it one day at a time.

I have a 200 lb. Rottweiler, Teddy, he's beautiful
(Handsome). He traveled cross country with me when I
moved. He came with Flash, another Rotti,
unfortunately he passed away last year. So we got
Buddy. A black lab. mix. He loves the pool and the dot.
(Lazer pointer) He'll chase it all day if you let him.

I also have 2 Quaker Parrots. Dink and Bob. Dink talks
and loves to dance with Ellen everyday. "There's ellen"
"Gonna Dance" he says, along with lots of other things.
He's cool. Bob on the other hand is a mutant. Doesn't talk,
picks out his feathers. I adopted him a couple of years
ago. Now I know why the people gave him up. He's
strange, but I love him to pieces. I just got back from the
vet with him. He now has a cone (like a dog wears
after surgery) but a lot smaller so he won't pick at the
feathers. My free bird is now a $300 bird. I love him
so it doesn't matter.

I live in Glendale, AZ. The home of this years Super Bowl.
The stadium is within 5 miles of my house. It was so
cool when it was here. So many activities going on. The
area around the stadium is built like a small city. I feel
like I'm on vacation whenever I go there. We go to
Jimmy Buffet's and sip on margaritas.

I'm living with my man Steve (In picture) I met him shortly
after I moved here. Believe it or not, I couldn't find a
job at first so I had to take what I could get. I ended
up selling cars. What a trip. It started out really good.
Hourly pay and spiffs. I was making a lot of money, but
the dealership figured out that the hourly pay for my
team wasn't such a good idea, they were paying us too
much, so they put us on straight commission, and within
a month the entire team quit.....

It was a good thing, I met Steve there and we've been
together ever since. No more marriage for me, but he keeps
me company. I've had back issues for years, thank you
softball, and I had my second surgery about 3 years ago.
Fused, welded or whatever they did to it. It's better, but I
can't work anymore, AHH. I'm on disability now. Had to
wait 2 years for it, but I finally got it.
Now everyday feels like vacation, unless I have to walk too
far or sit too long, it does have its disadvantages. Old
age kinda sucks. I spend much of my time sitting by the
pool, or making jewelry. It's a tough life.

Anyway, that's about it. If anyone wants to contact me,
please do. It was great hearing from Susie Campbell after
how many years??? She brought me up to date on a bunch
of the class and I'll be looking for a few more. Be careful
when you answer your phone, it could be me....

I started up a Jewelry business. "One of a Kind Jewelry
Design" I'm attempting to set up a web site, but am
having trouble. I've been making jewelry for about a year,
and now I'm trying to sell it. Have a show coming up at the
end of the month, so we'll see how it goes. If anyone needs
a necklace, bracelet or earrings, or a lovely set, let me
know what color and I'll design something for you. They're
really nice.

See ya... Barbara Wakeling Meyerholz

School Story:

Does anyone remember my little red VW bug? Had to jump start it everyday after school. Thanks again guys. I still miss that car. It's still my favorite out of all the new cars that I've had over the years. The best memories.

Me and my man Steve at his sons wedding. That was an interesting wedding. Held at his EX-wife's house with her new husband. Had a few cocktails before we went. Had several more while there.

My Teddy. 200 lb. Rottweiler. What a beautiful dog he is. Getting old on me, so everyday is special with him. He rode cross country with me in the back of my Blazer.... That's Buddy in front. He's a Black Lab mix. Mostly mix. Loves to swim in the pool and chase the lazer dot. Great companion.

This is Bob (short for Bobble head)You'd have to meet him to understand.... He's wearing a donut because he decided to rip out his feathers. He's not happy. It got replaced with a cone. Hope he stops plucking.

This is Dink. He's a Quaker Parrot, like Bob. He talks a lot. We dance with ellen everyday. He is too cool. Nothing like a pet that can talk to you and actually carry on a conversation...
