We met where we worked at the time. During conversation one day I found out that she grew up in Georgetown, how coincidental, never new her then though.

Sept 17 1983.
Stayed in Bethel until I moved to Florida in1977, moved back to Bethel for a short time, from 1985 to Nov 1986, then moved back to Florida, been here ever since.
Fishing, taking a ride with some friends on our Harley's on a nice day, playing my drums when I can, spending time with my friends and family, giong to our favorite Mexican restaurant, visiting Disney World. My most recent ontaking which has been a life long interest, is starting a fife and drum coprs down here in Florida. One of the things I miss from Connecticut, were the parades. They use to go right past my house that use to be on Main St, and I use to take more notice of th fife and drum corps that were in the parades. After finding a chat room that dealt with fife and drum,I started thinking, is it possible to start a drum corps down here in So. Florida.Well about two years of research and a little luck, I ran accross a guy on the chat room one night asking how to start a fife and drum corps. Found out he lives in Pompano, about 15 minutes from me, and thats where it all started. This past July 4th, we made our debut. We marched our first parade in the city where I work, Margate, Florida. We are officially called The Spirit of Liberty Fife and Drum Corps. We only have four musicians in our coprs, two fifes and two snare drummers, we had to start somewhere. The people along the parade route didn't know we exsisted until they saw us. Hopefully we can stir up some interest to get some more members to our corps.
Where else have you lived?
Famous or interesting people you've met?
Woody Woodbury,Reggie Jackson, Roy White, Don Nottingham, at the time I was working at a Tony Roma's as a valet, and these guys were regulars at the restaurant. Reggie and Roy were not real cordial, but Woody Woodbury and Don Nottingham were regular people.
Met the band, Little Feat, got to meet and greet with them. Met quite a few Nascar drivers crew chiefs, ect at Daytona and Homestead over the years. Most recently, met Mark Martin at Daytona in February, great guy. I had some pictures that I took of Mark at a race a few years back, made two sets of enlargements, while at Homestead I ran into his road manager and asled her to give them to him, she said she would. This past February my wife and I went to the Nationwide Series race the weekend of the Daytona 500, I decided to bring my set of prints with me to see if I could get them signed. Well, as luck would have it I was in the right spot at the right time. They have a spot in the garage area where you can see the drivers and the crews working on the cars. Mark took time to start signing whatever the people passed through the window and returning them, when I got up to the window I handed him the pictures, he looked up to see who handed them to him, from the look on is face I new he recognized the pictures. As far as I can tell he still has the same three prints I gave to his manager to give to him. That made my day, great race that weekend too!
